Thank you so much for sending the Beanie Babies - I received all four of the care packages.
We are a combat engineer platoon in the 101st Airborne Division, based out of Ft. Campbell, KY. We've been deployed to Tikrit since October and will be here through December. My platoon is in charge of the reconstruction and security efforts of Saddam's hometown and where he is buried. It is a small suburb to the south of Tikrit.
During our patrols we like to give the children toys, soccer balls, and school supplies. We will definitely be handing out the Beanie Babies you sent on our upcoming missions - I sure the kids will love them.
