Why donate?

Many soldiers are spending their own money to buy beanie babies, other toys, and candy to give to local children when they are out on patrol.

The cuddly toys are winning the hearts of kids & the minds of their consequently grateful parents. They help save our soldiers' lives in addition to building good will for the future.

Our soldiers benefit in another way, as well. They like the human aspect of giving out toys. After all, who doesn't like being "Santa Claus"?

The donors of beanie babies benefit as well: they experience a feeling of satisfaction by supporting the peaceful efforts of our troops.

Words from those who have donated

"Sending small, durable, cuddly toys is a great way to show the children of the world that Americans do care. It is my hope that this project serves as an inspiration for more acts of kindness to the children of all nations."
-- Katherine Kittrell

"After hearing Christine's stories of how having the Beanie Babies aided the soldiers' safety and helped satisfy their paternal needs, I knew it was a story I had to run in my paper. I was spurred on further when I heard how many Paradise Valley residents cared about the troops and donated thousands of plush animals to the cause. It gave me an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment and pride to be able to help."
-- Wendy Miller

"A child’s smile is one of the world’s most beautiful and contagious things.  To be part of the spark that ignites in the child spreads to their families and back to our soldiers’ is not only a wonderful feeling but hopefully something that will evolve over the years into world friendship, tolerance and love (or peace?)."
-- Kris Frost
