Dear Patricia and Christine,

I would like to personally thank you for your generous donations of
beanie babies that you sent to me and my men while we were deployed to
Iraq.  I have to apologize for taking such a long time to send you this
email.  We have been pretty busy.  However, we have made it through a
year safely and soon, we will be well on our way to rejoin our families.
Before I left Iraq, I wanted to send you a note to let you know how much
we appreciated the time and effort you took to show us that you cared.
Your thoughtfulness placed smiles on our faces and helped us get through
a challenging year.  Also, your beanie babies helped us to bring some
joy to countless Iraqi children.  Please thank Maggie F who donated the
toys as well as the Korean War Veterans Association for paying for the
postage.  Your acts of kindness were truly a team effort and again, we
thank you all for your generous gifts, your thoughts, and prayers.
