Christine and Patricia,

Thank you very much for your numerous packages of donated items to the people of Iraq and our team.  The Beanie Babies are definitely a favorite of local children, and have resulted in many smiles.  We also appreciate your gifts to our Marines.  The magazines, hygiene items and other goods are very helpful.  Receiving packages around the holiday season was also very important for our small contingent of troops.

You had mentioned that others had helped with many of the donations.  We would like to thank them as well.  Specifically, the Drubka family, who donated many toys.  Sue S, for paying for the postage.  And Mary Maritine's Elementary Class, for all of the thoughtful items they contributed.

Your donations have helped brighten the days of several Marines, and make a difference in the lives of numerous children throughout the area.  Mosul is a very large city with several poor areas.  Things seem to be progressing in the right direction though.  You work has definitely been a part of that effort.  Small gifts, particularly to children, help build trust of our intentions amongst the population.  I’ve attached some recent pictures of kids receiving gifts.
